We have really taken outdoor living and sustainability to the next level with this custom second-story covered deck. To began with the framing being treated lumber for strength and longevity, we were able to cap it off with a beautiful wood toned deck board topped with a shingled roof and under-siding, ensuring full protection from the elements. Enhancing this living space was far from over, per owners request we went ahead with equipping an outdoor fan and dimmable lighting for perfect comfort and ambiance, day or night.
Little-to-no Maintenance or repair
Originally the homeowner was thinking of going with a full treated lumber deck, but with careful consideration and our expertise on wanting to expand the life expectancy of this build they decided to do composite decking. At the surface this project consist of Trex/Composite decking in a tan wood tone providing a clean, durable base, beautifully complemented by the PVC equipped railing and metal pickets for a sleek, modern design. Deciding to go with composite decking will now require very little to no maintenance and will now never experience fading/discoloration.
